James DeWitt serves as an Investment Manager for Creative
Planning.
James is responsible for overseeing and implementing the
investment policy. This includes maintaining clients' proper
asset allocations, tax harvesting, developing investment
recommendations and placing trades within the portfolios. He
also handles custodial relationships with TD Ameritrade, Schwab,
Vanguard and Fidelity to ensure the accurate resolution of
service issues such as transfers, rollovers, withdrawals and
deposits. James prepares Creative Planning's quarterly
investment report and contributes to the quarterly newsletter.
James, selected as one of KC Business magazine's '2010 Rising
Stars,' completed his Masters Degree in Business Administration
at Rockhurst University in May 2008 and is working towards
attaining the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered
Financial Analyst designations. He also attended Rockhurst for
his Bachelor's Degree, graduating in May 2007 with a major in
Finance/Economics.
James currently serves on the Board of Directors for two
non-profit organizations, 20/20 Leadership and KC CAN!, and
holds the positions of Vice-Chairman and Treasurer,
respectively. He is also a member of ImpactKC, working to
provide yearly grants to local non-profits. |
